This will not be a lengthy post, but I hope it is one of substance.
Carpe Diem. Carpe Noctem. Carpe Vitam.
Seize the day. Seize the night. Seize life.
I want to issue each of you a challenge. It is up to you to fulfill it, a covenant between you and God, yet also, if you so choose, a covenant between a family of believers to push each forward through encouragement and prayer.
Here lies the challenge:
To live each day as if it were your last. To live each day as if it were every persons last.
To love all people, regardless of race, gender, morality or sins.
To extend a hand of grace to the fallen, mercy to the hated, justice to the forgotten.
To live as an Ambassador of Christ, on this earth.
To come to the realization of your Royalty as a child of the Most High God.
To live to your fullest potential, or at the very least, half of it.
To not let a day go by that you do not do something that makes a difference, whether it is speaking encouraging words or praying over a country.
And to in such a God-inspired way that at the end of 2014, we can look back and see that we have had a part in leaving behind God's legacy of love.
These are not 'new' ideas. Indeed, they are rather ancient. Yet they are timeless, because our world is in desperate need of something truly epic- something that will change their lives. Change the world.
We are in this together, no person has to walk alone. God is our guide, our strength and our love.
Cling to the truth in times of doubt. Take leaps of faith when facing fear.
Be brave. Be bold. Be courageous.
Live for something bigger than yourself.
Don't be afraid to be scared. This won't be easy.
But it will be worth it.
I learned so much this year, which I will share in a future post.
This challenge can be defined in these words:
Please, do not take people for granted.
Love them.
Hold them.
Make memories.
Make a difference.
And it can be summed up in two words:
Carpe Vitam.
Seize Life.
Peace & Blessings
Ashley

Interesting that what you write bears strong resemblance to the focus of may pastor's last sermon of 2013. Could it be that God is urging us in that direction? ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment, and yes, I believe He is calling towards something greater than we have ever attempted. By His grace, we will rise to this challenge. :-)
