Three Days OutReach

Hello everyone! I have been in Hong Kong a week now and it has been such a blessing to be back among God's people serving. Christmas Outreach this year is made up of two teams of around 22-23 people each and we go out and minister through our dances, dramas, testimonies and sharing the gospel. We have two Discipleship Training School teams here, one from Salem, Oregon and an Island Breeze team. The other people making up the teams are here from all over the world! So this is an update on our first outreaches. My teams first outreach was to LandMark North Mall, a three story beautiful display of Christmas. At every outreach, we pair up with our ministry partner after the dramas and the gospel is presented to go and speak with the people. My ministry partner, Vania, and I, we're able to speak to a few ladies about Christmas and the true meaning of Christmas.  One had never heard of Jesus before and we had a long conversation with her, so a seed was planted! We also got to speak to a young Christian girl from the mainland who was feeling very alone and without friends or happiness. After talking with us, she said she felt encouraged. Her friends were waiting on her, and other team mates were able to speak with them as well. The preaching and testimonies went well, and even though the sound system was not working for the first set of dances/dramas, they were able to hear the gospel message clearly, praise God! Our next outreach is what is called 'Treasure Hunting' and we went to Star Ferry Harbor (so beautiful!). It was one of our outreach locations last year, except this time we went further onto the island and took a ferry to get there. We did a few dances randomly, like a flash mob, then we would branch out and speak to people about Jesus and Christmas. It was wonderful to speak to a Christian lady and encourage her in her faith, as well as speak to an atheist woman from the mainland. She was very open and believed Jesus Christ was a good man, but not the Son of God. Continued prayer for her to have a true God-Encounter is appreciated! Another one of the team mates and their ministry partner were able to speak to man about to commit suicide because he felt so alone. He needed to have someone to talk to and they were able to get his contact information to stay in touch. Thank you Jesus for sending us there at the right time! Yesterday's outreach was to a local Christian drug rehab clinic. I was very excited about this, as were the other team mates. God truly used one of the guys testimony and had him share a little more with the young men later when we split the guys into two groups and just spoke with them and ministered. Most of the guys had become Christians through coming to the place and told us their stories and testimonies. There was one man who was a Buddhist, and he seemed intrigued by the stories and very open. Most of these men had gotten involved in drugs because of money or home problems and had used drugs as an escape. They were brought to the rehab either as a way to restore their life, family or to get good jobs. They did fear on how they would make it through the rehab and afterwards on how to not go back to drugs. Please keep these men in your prayers, for them to have wisdom and to depend on God to help them as well.  Today is my teams day off, which is why I have a chance to write this update! In between our ministry outreaches, we also have daily worship and intercession times, as well as time at night for games, fellowship or sports. Last night a group of us went to play soccer (a favorite past-time) and it was so much fun! A great way to run off some energy and enjoy time with the teams. God has really blessed us here in Hong Kong for Christmas Outreach, and I want to thank all of you for your prayer and support. It means the world and is very encouraging! Please don't be afraid to message me or send me letter, I would love to hear from you! Ashley Tincher YWAM Hong Kong P.O. We have outreaches on Christmas Eve, but on Christmas we have the day off with a brunch, games, and a beautiful cultural dinner from around the world along with traditions from the different cultures here as well. Please continue to be in prayer for the teams health, faith and joy to remain strong. I have come down with a slight cold, I believe, so please pray for healing! Thank you and I will update you soon!  P.S.
