Yet Still She Sings

Hmm, I was trying to think about what to post when I remembered I have recently joined a poetry site once again. Here is the first poem I published on there, also, I encourage all of you who are poetry minded to join.

Yet Still She Sings

With a haunted heart
she sings her song,
a lullaby tune
of a world gone wrong.
She closes her eyes
whispers a prayer,
no matter what comes
her voice will be there.
Being cloaked in hurt
and bathed in pain,
walls once built up
now crumbling down.
Sharing her story
testify grace,
her world fell apart
she was left with faith.
Fear, hate, loss she knew
yet still she sings,
as the wind lifts her
with hope again renewed.
