Normally, when I am in the states, my Sunday school class and I go to war over our teams (in an ever loving way) and Facebook wars with other friends also commence. Living as a minority Gator fan in Georgia is rough living, indeed. People take football serious, and the Gators vs. Bulldog game is highly anticipated every year by both teams fans. Trash talking worse than politicians and best friends even at odds with each other, this is serious business.
This year was a gracious relief as I was not present to be subject to this annual ritual. I lived in peace as I shared with new friends about the love and peace of God. They graciously listened with respect and admiration. It was such a wonderful time. I had almost forgotten about sports.
Almost.
As a die-hard fan, one never truly forgets. It's in the back of your mind and you know something is happening with your team. Sure enough, when I returned to Hong Kong, I checked the season's scores.
Ouch.
Ouch.
Ow.
It's been a rough season. Every team has them.
However, I still love and support my team.
So as the season comes to an end, I do what any fan does-
I BELIEVE IN YOU!!!!!!!!!! GO GATORS!!!!!
